Last night we were invited to a concert at the nearby winery, Bianchi. It was a choral ensemble that sang a variety of older Spanish works and some newer Cuban pieces. There were even a couple songs where they performed tango rhythms a cappella. It was inspiring, I’m definitely going to have to write some choral works one of these days.

After the concert our artist friend Belen held an exhibition for her paintings. She had asked me to play some of my instrumental songs, so I accepted. But I wasn’t expecting quite so many people. (One of Belen’s paintings pictured below)

Sylvia Bianchi, co-owner of Bianchi, asked if I would want to take on a position playing piano for Bianchi. I have a feeling there’s probably not too much money involved but it’s hard to turn down a grand piano (or an award-winning bottle of champagne). I also met a professor of art here in San Rafael, she told me she would introduce me to musicians in the area. Pretty exciting.

But don’t worry I will be heading back to the US April 6th. I’m actually looking forward to it, not necessarily because I’m homesick, but I believe some good business/life opportunities are awaiting me.

I have to say, for one of my last nights in Argentina it sure was a good one.
